Ah, that's why these gigabit cards are so cheap. They're based on the awful realtek chipset and only actually do about 250 megabits. I should have just paid the little bit more and bought gigabit cards on the tigon3 or intel e1000 chipset.

Thank god it's friday. I have no desire to be at work, nor any desire to actually do work right now.

Update: But friday means legal's clam chowder at the cafe downstairs. Now that I've had some of that I feel better.
